In Compagnia del Lupo is an Italian documentary series for Sky Arte, hosted by crime writer Carlo Lucarelli. Each episode uncovers the darker, lesser-known origins behind classic fairy tales — from Red Riding Hood to the Brothers Grimm — blending on-location filming with animated sequences that bring the stories to life. The series also became a published book.
I illustrated the animated segments for two episodes of Series 2: Rapunzel and Witches. The illustrations needed to heighten the atmosphere of the storytelling — evocative and slightly unsettling, matching the tone of a show that reveals the real history lurking beneath the fairy tales we grew up with.
